So your new in the bodybuilding game and want to add some much needed bulk to that skinny little frame of yours, but there is one problem you are broke and have no money with which to buy protein powder, all you have is money to stock your fridge so you need to know which are the highest protein content foods so you have the best chance of consuming the required amount of calories that your body requires to start building mass. If like me you are a little fussy with what you eat then it could be a bit difficult to find enough protein for you to eat, i struggled and have always added supplements to my diet so i don’t go without. Firstly lets talk about meat!! obviously it is going to need to be lean meat with as little fat as possible, Most meats have high protein content but lean turkey and chicken is probably the most tastiest and readily available meat to get your hands on, these meats are also relatively cheap and that’s what your after. Fish is also good and the oily fish contains some of the highest protein counts per 100g that you will find, tuna will yield up to 35 grams of protein in one can of fish, that’s a hell of a lot.To be honest most fish will give low fat high protein and that’s what we are after.Most dairy is high in protein but again you have to be careful of high fat contents, things like cheese, milk and eggs are great for protein but go for low fat versions. Don’t like dairy? then most nuts and seeds contain good levels of protein, lentils and chickpeas are especially good.So these are just a few of the high protein food sources that you should consider in order to get the protein levels you require, there is more than enough here to get cheaply and make a simple diet to follow.Best of luck and healthy eating!!
